Swatchd helps you find the lipstick colour you love from other brands, often for a fraction of the price.
Why we built it
Finding a dupe usually means scrolling through swatch photos taken in different lights. We wanted a simpler answer: tell us a shade you already own, and see the same colour from high end, drugstore and Indian brands, closest first.
How we match
We collect shades from each brand’s own store, Nykaa and Sephora India, then measure each colour from the brand’s swatches. Two shades count as a match when their measured colours are very close by CIEDE2000, a standard way to compare colours as the eye sees them. We label the closest ones near-identical, and check suspicious colours by hand.
What’s inside
62 brands and 8,200+ lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, glosses, liners, crayons and tints, with prices and stock from each store. We add brands every month.
Who makes it
Swatchd is made by Triggerfy Services, an agency that builds and runs its own products. Swatchd is one of them.
